This blog entry was originally posted here [link] and was made by me and ~hufflepuff-student20 and i am posting it here so that you will be aware too ^_^ and this will serve as a reminder for us for the upcoming Earth Hour 2010

From the constant increase of global temperature, ice caps are already melting and our normal weather patterns around the planet earth is starting to change. Now here are ways on how to survive with the extreme heat in the future: 

[Note: The following are crazy ideas]

1. Avoid Heat. This means that we should move to some place if we hink that the heat in our place is already killing us. Be ready to spend A LOT from your constant travel from one place to another just because you want a cooler place to live in.

2. Burrow yourself. This means that you live underground when heat outside is very high, just like some animals do on hot days in the desert. Just make sure you?re still able to get out by the time the outside world is already cool.

3. Open your mouth. This means that you literally open your mouth like the crocodiles do to release their body heat and avoid hyperventilation. Just make sure nothing enters in your mouth while you try to do this. 

4. Retain Water. This means, as much as possible, you try to command your body to limit the use of water like one drop per hour, just to keep you hydrated. Bear in mind that mammals can NOT do that, so find a way to become not mammal, which is surely hard.

Now those are four ways you may try to do to save yourself, and only yourself. Imagine yourself being successful in surviving from the killing attacks of global warming, but global warming will still be there because you didn?t do anything about it, you just temporarily escaped its attack. 

Here's our suggestion, why not be one with the rest, on March 27, 2010 at exactly 8:30 from where you're living, join the International Earth Hour by switching off your lights for one hour, you don?t need to spend airplane tickets, you don't need to dig a hole for yourself, you don't need to open your mouth for hours, you don't even need to turn into a bird, you just need to switch off your lights, and look at that you saved at least one hour off from your electric bill! Switching off your lights is a vote for Earth, or leaving them on is a vote for global warming.

So choose now: Are you going to vote for for earth or for global warming?

Just remember this thing, if you think that switching of our lights is not enough, then think again! Remember, the whole world is participating and if all people will turn off their lights during Earth Hour [March 27, 2010] then, we are coninuing the history in the making in saving our beauiful planet!

I'm really happy that the Philippines is really doing their best to support Earth Hour. As a Filipino, I have been a witness to many environmental problems and thought of many solutions that are quite impossible to make because of the lack of present resources. Yes. We lack some things as an individual and as a community. But that doesn't stop us to make our support for Earth. 

Just this week, I started a group in DeviantART called wesupportEARTH. The idea there came from the globally know Earth Hour. Since Earth Hour is celebrated annually, I decided to focus the group not only about Earth Hour but with the thought of helping to support our Earth and to build environmental awareness to the whole deviantART community. As true blooded deviants, I know that we can also make a difference and that we can always do our best to help in saving the environment. So from that, we were able to make the idea of the group that,:

We can make a difference. We can save Earth through our arts and creativeness. Let us all support Earth because we care for Earth.

Points Hunting+Epicness

POINTS HUNTING

So hi guys, i was really busy this week looking for points. gosh. Since points came here in DA, i am really happy to see some transactions in my inbox

and another important note, hunting for points is killing my time. hahaha. but at least, im enjoying.

When I dont have anything to do, i usally end up sleeping early like 1 o'clock in the morning or sometimes 10 oclock in the exening. but when i doing some points hunting, i usually end up sleeping before 6 in the morning yep! then i sually wake up one hour after to prepare for the class.

Just last night, i was so busy answering the trivia of ^MyntKat and it took me over 6 hours to find at least a nibble of the answer. I had a short conversation with ^NikiVandermosten and had a very fun conversation with him as he also tries to get the 400 points.

I know im silly but im really trying my best to get as many points as i can so that i can purchase a DA lanyard or buy a painting from or from

Exams are already coming. But what i am doing is lurking over the internet to do many things like blogging in my blog [ofcourse], and watching some movies online.

Well, from that experience, i can say that i somewhat wasted my time. But im not blaming the points system here. because i love them!

but what i would like to stress here is that, instead of watching movies online, instead of bloghopping in blogger and wordpress, instead of taking a nap while buffering the movies, i should have studied too so that i can prepare myself for the exams

gosh. i sis not even saw that coming. Now, i'm cramming since i only have 1 day and some hourse to study. May the good Lord bless me for this one.

Now, i call that EPIC.

Now, the times i wasted, i call EPIC.

WHY?

Because from that experience, i learned many things. Even i wasted my time for some thing over the internet, it helped me think over the things i am doing and from that, i learned to re-examined my self once again.

So, who says that that time wasted is not that good? well, if this happens to you, try to meditate. well, at least, you can just think become optimistic in the things you are doing.

If i made it this time, well im sure that you can make it too! trust me! since i trust and love you all

What is Earth hour? 

Earth Hour started in 2007 in Sydney, Australia when 2.2 million homes and businesses turned their lights off for one hour to make their stand against climate change. Only a year later and Earth Hour had become a global sustainability movement with more than 50 million people across 35 countries participating. Global landmarks such as the, Sydney Harbour Bridge, The CN Tower in Toronto, The Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, and Rome’s Colosseum, all stood in darkness, as symbols of hope for a cause that grows more urgent by the hour.

Sustainable goals of Earth Hour

Earth Hour has done many things that made people build awareness to the climate change issues we are experiencing in our generation now. But the point of witching off our lights for one hour once a year doesn't stop on the goals of us earth savers. But moreover, this is to build more awareness so that we can give people the voice they need so that we can have a better planet. The sustainable goals of Earth Hour is not that difficult, so in our own little ways, we are really giving a massive impact on the whole world, with other people who are participating in this campaign.

Modo De Ser/ Way of being

i guys! I will let you see the artsy fancy side of my being! hahaha


So 3 hours ago, I was able to finish my newest digital art entitled, Modo De Ser which means, according to my Spanish Friend, Way of being.


It s funny that I just googled the translation of Nature to Spanish. Then I found the very atrractive words, Modo De Ser and posted it as a title without even knowing its meaning. hahaha


well anyway, here it is!
