I am now K-Popped

Technorati Tags: ,,,,

it all started when my classmates are playing in their cellphones and mp3 players their very own downloaded Korean Pop songs. At first, i saw Noboby by the Wonder Girls and later, evolved into 2ne1’s Fire (if i’m not mistaken).

At first, i was fascinated by the songs. but i’m not like my classmates who tried to memorize the song lyrics with a language they do not really know how to speak. well, i know there’s nothing bad on it because i know that they are happy.

just when did my addiction started? It was just last week when i first asked for a copy of all the albums of Super Junior and some songs by Shinee, 2ne1, DBSK, 4 minute and etc. Then, i was big banged upon hearing the songs. i was really amazed and i can dance all night because of that. i really felt like dancing the night away before the start of the final examinations.

I just cant believe that i am actually learning to love Korean Pop songs. well, i suggest tat you try to hear even just one song.

Just this evening, i watched Sorry Sorry music video by Super Junior, one of the most idolized bands of my classmates and one of the most popular boy band here in asia and the biggest boy band in the whole wide world with 13 members ranging from the most handsome, to sexy-finger-licking-good-like-kentuckyFriedChicken as my classmates always say to some kinda fat and etcetera. i was amazed by the dance steps and etcetera. not to mention their costumes and the place where they shoot the music video. it was really cool. so i will upload one music video here.

How about you? do you want to be Popped with K?

Remember, sshhhhh. :)

Would You Ever

Well. It’s Skeeper here again. Well sorry guys. I was really busy for the past few days:
> Exams are still on.
> and ohmigod. Projects from 3 subjects were piled up in front of me. It’s like I'm already making the next twin towers. Hahah
>Still busy. That’s all I can say.
Well then guys. A little sharing from me. Well, i was invited by our ‘teacher last summer’ to watch the premiere night of the red carpet event of the School of Liberal Arts MassCom Department. The Junior MC Students entertained us with their own produced movie. Well, I'm going to talk first on the first movie shown to us.
It’s entitled “Would you ever
Well I was really entertained by the movie. It was kinda really a  touching story. At first, i thought that it was just a common story about 2 girl friends whose goal is to help each other with their boyfriends. at the beginning of the story, it’s visible. but later on the story, the real color of the gist of the story rose up to our amazement. It started when the other best friend asked her bestfriend:
Would you ever kiss a girl?”
The other one just smiled and said no and threw the same question back to the other girl and she said:
Ahmm. No. unless it’s you.”
**then they kissed**
WAHHHHHH. really amazing. I cannot really think that my schoolmates can actually do that. well, i believe that it’s a part of the film industry. so why worry?
Would you ever…. Would you ever…
What if i was asked by the question,
“Would you ever kiss a boy?”
Weh. My ghad. hahahahaha. LOLness to the highest level.
Enough with this thing. Now let’s move on to the next part of this journal entry. There’s another couple present in the story. the sister of the main character and the gay friend of the younger sister which happened to be my classmate wayback elementary. hahaha. Their main mission is that to really catch her sister and to get some proofs that she is really a lesbian. Well, they are really trying their best to catch the clueless lesbian couple, finding every way to degrade them because the younger sister cannot accept the fact that she has a sister who wants to be in love with a very same girl.
Their relationship ended when they are in a donut store, with girl no. 1 is choosing some donuts, with the ex-boyfriend of girl no. 2 at the other table. when girl no. 2 entered the store and saw her best friend, which happened to be her girlfriend as well, and his ex-boyfriend, he immediately grabbed his ex’s hand and told her bestfriend that they’re back into the relationship again even if they aren’t. then girl no. 1 said goodbye and left the store.
Then girl no.2 apologized to girl no.1 the next day and really begged girl no.2 to stay at her side and she’s really crying. Then girl no. 2 just remained silent and left. while on the oteher side of the garden, the younger sister and the gay sidekick was actually eavesdropping to their conversation and felt a sad aura on her part because she really cared for her sister. She even told his gay buddy that it’s just okay for her to have a lesbian sister and to see her happy while to have a sad, straight sister. I’m just touched because the once evil sister is the main lover also of the broken hearted sister.
then the ex-boyfriend visited girl no. 1 and told her EVERYTHING.
1. She told her that ex and girl no.2 don’t have any connection anymore.
2. that he knew everything.
3. that his ex gf has a Alzheimer’s disease.
Well, i actually got the story after that. that girl no.2 just wanted to end their girl-to-girl relationship because she will just feel sad on the part of his girlfriend for she ahs a disease and that her life will not last long anymore. It’s like sacrificing for the sake of your loved one and i found it really sweet.
So girl no. 1 was so sad after hearing the news and felt pity on her girlfriend AND BESTFRIEND. poor them. i also pity the main characters.
then the time came when girl no. 2 couldn’t remember her bestfriend and what the bestfriend did was to meet her again  the way the met for the first during their elementary days.
Insights:
>there’s nothing wrong on loving as long as you remain faithful to each other.
>only your true friends, sister, brother, family can understand you despite their limitations at first. we cannot say. maybe it was just a culture shock on their part.
Question:
>Are you in favor in homosexual relationship? please drop a comment here :D
Remember, ssssshhhh.

The Earth As a Whole

The earth as a whole is:

a place for every animal

> think about these things:

•in order for some animals to survive heat, they needed to burrow their very selves underground just for them to have a cool place underground.  This is very common to dessert animals who want to try to avoid the very disgusting dessert heat.

        • Recent studies show that giant tortoises that live in the Indian Ocean Part of Aldabra die because they tend to find shade from trees to avoid the very same heat. But the sad part is, they always drive themselves away from the trees because the food supply isn’t enough for all of them so what they do is, to travel to a jungle-like-beside-the-sea place where the food can suffice their daily needs. Another sad story is, throughout their journey, many tortoises die along way. Many turtle babies were not able to see the light anymore because the sand where they are being incubated produces extreme heat that they are dying already. As what the study say, “Young animals are at greater risk of heat stress than adults.”

a place for every plant

> on the case of plants:

        • Phreatophytes are plants that have adapted to arid environments by growing extremely long roots, allowing them to acquire moisture at or near the water table. [Source]

        • Tress die faster because of heat rather than growing. Sometimes, it takes 3-20 years for a tree to become an adult one where people and animals can take food, things, and etc. But what will happen if the extreme heat can produce forest fires and thing like dehydration in plants?

a place for all of us:

>on our part [who are considered to be the caretaker of the world]:

        • I will not anymore focus on the problems we can face but rather, let these words from me hit you intimately.

♥ Do you want to survive heat by burrowing yourself underground like what the dessert animals can do?

♥ Do you have plans in visiting Aldabra? Then you will most likely see the dead tortoise who died along their trek in finding a place where food can suffice their needs.

♥ I bet you cannot grow roots in your body in order for you to avoid heat right? remember, we are humans. homo sapiens as other would say. and we are not Phreatophytes.

♥ Can you manage to see your forest burning because of the extreme heat? Where do you think the newly wed couples can look for logs in order for them build their house and start a happy life? Where can we get our papers? How can we live?

NOW PEOPLE, what can we do? It’s up for us to think. You can ignore this thing or learn something from this. Let’s save our mother Earth. Let’s fight global warming.

Reuse what you can reuse.

Reserve what you can reserve.

Recycle what can be recycled.

Love what you can love.

Care for what you can care.

Because, our Mother Earth cares for us. Our Mother Earth what’s best for us. Let give the best for her! ^^,

Don’t keep this as a secret. Share this and spread the word :)

Ode To War Fighters

I made this for our next challenge in Deviant Survivor. I was really amazed that they let us create a poem because the challenge is mostly about digital arts or photography. I just knew about the challenge just this morning. My exams started this morning so i just made this for roughly about 30-40 minutes only :)
Enjoy!

Ode to the dead heroes
Who gave their blood, sweat and tears for us.
Ode to their wives
for being so brave to let them go and pass.

Ode to their children
For accepting the challenge to take care of their mo their.
Love, care, honesty they provide
Because of their fathers who in return
Showed them what not to and what to have.

Ode to the unborn ones
So lucky for you to meet the Creator of heavens above.
But with fidelity we cry
For you have not seen the beauty that we cannot deny.

Lo! Ode to everyone
for you have prayed for all.
To pray is what we can do
For prayers are powerful
Even if we are fighting the world greatest successors.

Above all,
Ode to the Creator
For He has come for us
Thank goodness! He blessed them
For the war fighters took their place.
So that we can be safe
And for us to take the phase.

Karapatang Pantao reflection [Human Rights]

The short part of the documentary film presented to us by the reporters last Thursday reminded me again on the things I need to know within the frame of my rights as Filipino and as a person. Yes! I am aware of my rights as a person and I know that I am guided by the laws provided by the constitution of our land but that doesn’t necessarily mean that I know every right that was given to me by the land. Like me, other people do not also know all their rights as persons and I believe that some people are fully unaware that they have rights as well.

Considering this fact, there are points in the film which contradicts each perception of the two groups we have in our land, namely the lawmakers/law enforcers (generally referred to as the government) and the masses.  Just like in the case of the sidewalk vendor, Aling Bing who represents the masses,  always try her very best to catch the attention of the customers to buy something from her goods before the MMDA Officers, which represent the government, catch her and trying to jeopardize by running over her and to other sidewalk vendors as well.

On the side of the government, they know for a fact that the sidewalk vendors commit mistakes because they are not allowed to sell on the sidewalk while on the other hand, the sidewalk vendors believe that the MMDA Officers commit mistakes as well because, they really much believe that they are getting their rights to have a good income for at least a day in order for them to feed their families and to try in sufficing the needs of each of their love ones. Truly, we can see two sides of the coin. But who weighs more in terms of the exact basis? Well that is the question that plunge into my mind.

Another thought presented in the film is when the cartoon character in the clip gave us the idea that because we are persons, we do obtain rights so we must never make it complicated as possible since it is already in front of us, waiting for us to become aware that we have those rights to be enjoyed.

Let’s examine each of the sides of the coin. On the first side, we have the masses’ voice. They believe that their rights have been violated by the government. Their rights like what I have just written in the earlier part of this essay are the rights that I am talking about which, for them have been violated. In a way, they are right. As persons, we have the rights to make a living not just for ourselves but for the whole family too. We really have to make everything we need to do in order for us to fulfil it especially when we do not have any degree just like those professionals who were able to study in a school since nursery until they graduated from college. So getting their ‘little things’ they have would probably mean a violation on their part. If we are going to say this in Filipino, “Kakaunti na nga lang ang meron sila, kukunin pa ng gobyerno.” Before making a  conclusion, let me first discuss in this essay the other side of this issue.

For the other half, the thoughts will focus more on the points coming from the side of our government. They believe that the sidewalk vendors violated the law because they were not allowed to sell on the sidewalk. Yes, it is true. The sidewalk vendors violated the law and therefore the government do not really violated their rights as persons. But we really have to consider this thing, that upon making laws for our land, the government leaders put into consideration the things that the masses will gain after imposing such laws. For me, imposing such law such as prohibiting vendors to sell their goods on the sidewalk is a good thing since:

Ø  The government care for them and that as persons they really have to gain income in a place where they can be safe and to be not in a place where danger is vulnerable such as beside the road and specifically in the sidewalk area.

Ø  Next, when they are selling in the sidewalk area, chances of not paying their taxes can go high since they are just like squatting for a place where they earn for a living for free. We really have to remember that when people pay taxes, they can still get the amounts they are paying to the government through the services that the government is giving the people like in the development of the infrastructure, to public market stalls for vendors to have a safe area for their business while paying for a cheap price for the place’s rent or sometimes for free and etcetera.

Ø  Lastly, government do not impose laws to hurt the people but rather, they are making those things to help us and therefore granting us more rights and sometimes upgrading those things and not degrading our rights as persons and as Filipinos.

These are just my opinions based on the short part of documentary film presented to us. And I am hoping that what I have written here sounds fair to every person who will read this.

Are We Truly Free?

created last June 30, 2009

Many times have already passed since I, as a student, came in contact to this simple question, “Are we Filipinos Truly Free?”. Literally, I can say, “YES! We are truly free.” We are now totally free from the dictatorship of our colonizers coming from the different parts of the globe- Spain, America, Japan- but does this freedom that was given to us by our heroes and from our God gave an impact to us now Filipinos at our present time? Sadly, I can say, NO. Many of us didn’t even bother to take actions from the new independence that we want our country to have. The independence from the malicious acts of our government leaders, independence from the day-to-day controversies from the showbiz world, independence from economic crisis and many other things. Remember, we were able to gain independence from other countries. But what’s happening to us now is that, some people are still taking our independence away from us. And those people are our fellow Filipinos.
Have we ever asked ourselves, Does the war that our heroes participated centuries ago made an impact to our nation? YES! Because of that we gained independence. “Does that independence made us Filipinos feel that we are truly free?” Many of us ‘MIGHT’ say no. Many of them may still think that if ever we are truly free, we Filipinos can fall down as a nation and to stand as a nation. But what’s happening to us now is that, we are all blaming our government about the downfall of our country. We do not even bother to take actions to help our government. What we do is waste water, we waste food, and we waste money. After many years of gaining independence, let us shift our minds once in a while to think that, we already have our independence and let us keep it worth it. Let us come to think the fact that it is really a gift, not only for us, but to every Filipinos who deserves to be free. And until then, we can already feel the true essence of being free. The true meaning of freedom.
