“I am sick and tired of my life.”
From that statement marked the beginning of my journey at Taborea. From there I realized many things. Things that I will not surely forget, where every people need to experience, where every mind and heart need to be refreshed. That’s how Taborea welcomed me.
My journey in Taborea started when I kept on murmuring and blabbing about the “sick-and-tired” political posters and streamers that makes our surroundings dirty.. err, not so clean. I always try my best to remove the unnecessary and redundant poster that I see everytime I walk. But I guess, my human skills are not so good that I can always feel that my efforts are losing.
“I am sick and tired of my life.” That became my mantra for a week. But even if I felt that way, I am still hoping for a greener Philippines.
One Sunday evening, I suddenly felt something in my chest. The feeling is like I’m going to have a heart attack. We were so busy eating our dinner when my mom asked me if I’m okay. But then, I jus answered, “Yes!”. After dinner, I immediately went to my bed and slept. I felt so relieved that I actually fell asleep in an instant.
Not long after I felt that im sleeping already, I suddenly dreamt. I am wearing a long black coat and I saw an entrance in a room. The room is very dark at first but as I enter, the view is becoming clearer and clearer as I take a step.
I followed the path and then saw a stair and went upstairs. Then to my amazement, a book appeared and it opened. At first, I saw the word, “Taborea” at the cover and saw the words, “Welcome to Taborea.” At that point, I suddenly felt afraid but still, my determination to touch it made me walked towards the book. Then when I’m already 2 steps away from the book, the room vanished, letting me and the book floating and then thousands of fireflies lit up the dark room. Then, to my amazement, the book served as a porthole for me. A porthole that led me to another world. The beautiful world of Taborea.
[to view my experience in the room, please play the video. Made in adobe after effects.]
I know that I’m in Taborea because, the book served as the country sign for me. And that led me to a beautiful place where I can always see green grasses, beautiful flowers, clear waters in the riverbank-just 20 steps away from me. “This place”. I said to myself “is the place I always dreamt for my country and for my world. I hope that someone from here can help me change the world.”
Then I thought of moving now and to search the vast land. But before I can have a single step, I noticed some changes in my clothes. Before entering Taborea, I was wearing a long black coat and now, I am wearing a velvet red coat with a bow and arrows. I felt like I’m an archer which I think is really cool.
And here’s my picture. And I would like to call myself, Jude.

After this amazing thing, I then toured the country and found many beautiful things. Flowers, trees, birds and to my amazement, believe it or not, I saw fairies and cute little pixies. They tend to be so kind and caring as they always blow some dandelions as I cross the field. They also brought with them some refereshing water that makes my water bottle always full. They always secrete some fragrant oils in the air which made my way so smelly and revitalizes my body. We became good friends and they led me to a small town named “Silverspring”.
You can just look the beauty of Taborea here. The Silverspring, where i stay is enclosed in a yelow circle.

“Oh look! A scout!” a town man shouted and I was pretty amazed that everyone is trying to welcome me there. I told them everything that happened to me and they totally understood my situation.
“Every year, one person always visits us who shares the same storie that you have. And you’re very lucky that in one time in your life, you will experience the land of Taborea.” The chieftain told me.
“Oh I see. That’s great. But then, if I may ask,a while ago, you just called me a what?” I asked.
“A scout. You are a scout.”
“Well, what is a scout?
Then suddenly, I was shocked to see a very beautiful fairy that according to them, only shows once a year and that is when someone from the outside world came to Taborea. They call her, Ayvenas.
"As the creator of Taborea, I can see that your blood can be traced back from the courageous nomadic wanderer of hunters here in our land. We believe that endurance, concentration and the sharp minds of the Scouts are the real virtues of your forefathers, the hunsters. It seems like, you, Jude, is a hunter in a body of a real warrior."
"You do not only use your physical power when you fight for something very important in your life. Because you are always incorporating your physical power with your intellectual skills which are more advanced , for you are so sharp and quick with it."
"Your silence mean so much in you that’s why you are so good in responding in the needs of your environment."
I am so touched with what Ayvenas told me. From that, I believed in myself more and that I can do reat things as a scout and as a human being.
“I am a scout and I will do my best to revive my Mother Earth and to help Taborea in any way.” I told my self.
In my short stay there in Taborea, I learned their way of living there, specifically in Silverspring. So in return, I educated them with the things I already knew which made them more happier. I taught them on the proper things related with harvesting, planting crops and etc.
As I give my teachings to them, I experienced playing with the fairies in the lake of Magic Mist as we bathe our bodies in the clear waters and playing with the sea creatures there; and hunting for some strange animals which are only present in Taborea. My stay there is like a fairy tale come true. A dream worth remembering.
My last night came when they gave me a celebration. They cooked some many delicious food and sevred some cool refreshing drinks. We had a great time singing and dancing. The open field gave us a robust feeling as we watch in the bluish black horizon with many starts twinkling in fron of us. Many pixies showered pixy dusts which caught the attention of the fireflies let ourselves be amazed with their live performance as they also lit up our happy Night. The flower buds nearby immediately bloomed and blew some light particles and made our environment mofr fragrant. The sea creatures in the lake Magic Mist also had a live performance as they entertained us with their skills in swimming, jumping then diving. Some birds swirled beneath the night sky and tossed some feathers which looked like beautiful and soft confetti. It was the best night in my entire life.
The day of my departure came and I bid them good bye and Ayvenas sent her last blessings for me. She gave me a necklace with the Scout’s symbol as the pendant and kissed me. I walked and gave my last farewell to the beloved townspeople. The fairies and pixies and the animals accompanied me to the exit of Silverspring.
Then, my instincts led me to Tagena and I found some gates there. I remembered that one of the townspeople mentioned about these gates and that no one so far has been able to open them.
But I saw a light coming from a book inside the gates, the book similar to the thing that led me to taborea so I tried opening the gates and it opened and found myself at the front of the book. I grabbed it and opened it once again and that led me back to my bed.
“So that was just a dream.” I told my self. After that dream, I felt more happy and determined to help our Earth. Taborea taught me many lessons about saving our Earth as I also help in saving Taborea. I also tld myself that even if it was just a dream, I am still happy that for once, I experienced living with the fairies and good towns people and I thanked God for that.
So after that, I prepared myself to change the world and to try asking for some help in some people. Then, I felt something on my chest. A necklace with a Scout’s symbol as a pendant.
Well I guess, everything that happened to me is not just a dream. But a beautiful reality that can always be dreamt.
Sick and tired of my life? not anymore. thanks for the wonderful experience i had in the beautiful land of Taborea.

First of all, the concept of dreaming is awesome. And the desire to help mother Earth from all these industrialization that destroys her is so related with the present time we are having.
The video effect you created made these story more realistic and easy to understand. And that is one good introduction. Way to go.
Details in the life in Taborea is great, too but try to add more details on what you did there like... a little excitement. For example, you fight evil creatures and while fighting them, you being an archer and your weapons evolves to a more powerful weapon. Well, that is just a suggestion and it's still your story anyway.
Your last night in Taborea is great. The concept of saying goodbye to Ayvenas back to your real world is classic, and it's awesome. And I like the appearance of the necklace when you wake up. Hahaha.
I hope that this story will give inspiration to all people in helping mother Earth like you did. Even though it is just a story, I can feel that this desire in your heart to help Earth is pure.
I hope that this comment helps. And goodluck at the contest. :)
Nice flow of the story :) I can see that you've really made an effort in making your post considering that you even made a vid. :) Good work :) and Good luck to us both :)
Thanks for visiting my entry too.
First of all, this must be a fully prepared entry and I will get hard to find out any mistakes.
I want to mention the video and the photos, they have been edited, but in a talented way, I see.
I didn't know the Taborea world before, but I'd very glad if I have a try on it. Very interesting and I will try as soon as possible.
Finally, that's great tale, man! This entry isn't like an ads, it's like a philosophy thought a game. And charming but easy-to-understand words, too. I like it.
Good luck to you with your contest again.
@iAMaROCKERgal: i am really touched with your comments. thanks for giving your time reading and giving your comments :)
hugs for you ^_^
I really appreciate how you spent time on doing this, especially the Video clip made from after effects. I know how tedious it would be to start from scratch creating your world way up. One thing I would say is that you should try to use word alternative's that will help in making the blog short. It would be cumbersome to some people to read too long blogs because of their busy schedules. And try to analyse when you should you write in passive/active voice.
But all-in-all it's a great blog post!
@ellen joy: thanks for finding time to read my entry too. and good luck to both of us :)
@ceebee: thanks so much to you too! ^_^
